Our Journey

2015
Castore was founded in 2015 in Liverpool by brothers and former sportsmen; Tom and Phil Beahon.

2017
In 2017, Tom and Phil began gifting Castore products to influencers and key opinion leaders. This gained traction rapidly due to clear product quality and grew to £1m revenue. They then went on to get Castore stocked in first wholesale accounts Mr Porter and Harrods.

2018
Castore raised funds of £3.2 million from private investment with plans to expand into US and Asian markets.
Castore’s Asian expansion began with new websites launched in Asia, as well as wholesale deals with Harvey Nichols in Hong Kong, to sell their products.
Castore moved into their new head office in Liverpool city centre.

2019
In 2019, Castore signed their first flagship athlete – Andy Murray. Andy also became a key investor into the brand and AMC was launched soon after.

2020
In 2020, Castore ventured into teamwear, signing the West Indies international cricket side, followed by agreeing a deal with one of Europe’s most historic football clubs; Rangers. This was followed by entering the Australian teamwear market, with deals with NRL sides Melbourne Storm and Sydney Roosters.
2020 also saw the addition of world-class global athlete, with the signing of England and Saracens captain, Owen Farrell.

2021
Castore’s catalogue of international athletes expanded further with the signing of; Adam Peaty, Jos Buttler, as well as footballing legend, Gary Neville.
Castore branched into the world of F1, signing a deal to become Official Team Partner for the McLaren Formula 1 team. We also expanded their portfolio, with deals for Premier League sides Wolves, Newcastle United and England Cricket team

2022
2022 saw further teamwear deals for Castore from English footballing sides including Aston Villa, accompanied the brands venture into Europe’s other top five leagues, with Sevilla, Bayer Leverkusen, Genoa, and UD Almeria.
Castore Golf increased greatly with new product launches and the signings of Matt Fitzpatrick, who later in the year went on to become just the third Englishman to win the US Open.

2023
Castore completed a deal with Umbro licensee, GL Dameck to sign an exclusive Umbro Professional Team Sports sub-license.
The agreement signifies our first step towards a brand segmentation strategy, enabling us to take a significant position in the UK & European elite sports markets.

2024 and beyond...
Castore’s ambition is to become the leading British sportswear brand competing on the global stage. This ambition will be achieved through a deep and unrelenting commitment to creating the most technical sportswear products in the global market.
